There was media coverage recently about the resignation of several members of the Disabled Drivers Medical Board of Appeal (DDMBA) https://bit.ly/3GxPjxX. In case there is any confusion, there is no connection between the Board of Appeal and the Disabled Drivers Association of Ireland (DDAI), which is an entirely separate entity.
The DDAI is welcoming the publication of the Cost of Disability in Ireland Report by Indecon, but is calling for immediate action by Government to address the significant costs outlined for people with disabilities.
No longer will disabled drivers need to search for accessible parking bays only to find them occupied.
